Invest in Your Future: Apply for SEGRM Postgraduate Award!

The SEGRM Postgraduate Award aims to recognize postgraduate graduates who are SEGRM members and have demonstrated outstanding achievements in both academic and non-academic activities. Applications for the SEGRM Postgraduate Award are open to SEGRM members who have completed their postgraduate studies in the current year and meet the graduation requirements. Complete applications with supporting documents must be submitted to SEGRM before the application deadline.

Please refer to the following information for complete application details:

1. Candidates must be postgraduate graduates in Geology (Engineering) or Civil Engineering (Geotechnical/Rock Mechanics) or equivalent from a university in Malaysia.
2. Candidates must be members of SEGRM (at least student members of SEGRM) at the time of nomination.
3. Candidates must not have been subjected to any disciplinary actions or have any pending disciplinary cases by the University/University Disciplinary Committee throughout their studies.
4. Candidates must have received a thesis evaluation rating of at least good.
5. Candidates must meet the minimum publication requirements set by the respective program. (Preference is given to high-impact publications (Q1/Q2) and/or those exceeding the minimum requirements).
6. Priority is given to candidates who have participated as presenters in oral presentations at international or national conferences during their studies.
7. Priority is given to candidates who have received recognition/awards in invention/innovation/presentation competitions at the university, national, or international levels.
8. Priority is given to candidates who have led or been involved in student organizations within the university or external activities/community service outside the university.
9. Candidates must be physically present to receive the SEGRM Postgraduate Award.
10. The application deadline is December 31, 2024.
